Lovely easy-to-read story about your experience of it, and we enjoyed reading it. That one photo makes us see that it's pretty high at one point and wonder if people have problems with the run if they're a little scared of heights.

Re: Pikes Peak Marathon Race Report

wow! congrats andrea! very exciting race recap :) you def made me want to run this insane race. helen sounds like an excellent friend and my kind of runner - talking about doubling up before the race, my style right there. great running, glad you re-found your relationship with running and congrats on beating your time goal!

Re: Pikes Peak Marathon Race Report

AWESOME job Andrea. You are amazing. Tremendous feat !!! Sure would like to join you two next year. Congrats, talk with you soon.

Re: Pikes Peak Marathon Race Report

the grapes were good, except at one aid station, they had seeds! I used to like oranges, until one day the acidity got to me.

I guess they also had pb&j rollups, which would have been great, but I missed them :(

Re: Pikes Peak Marathon Race Report

Nice work on the race. I use the mountain goat thing a lot when I'm running downhill. Something about channeling a spirit animal helps. (But I live in Boulder and that's how we talk...)

I'm thinking about doing another marathon sometime soon, probably next year, and will be sure to have plenty of grapes on hand. What a great idea! I've cut up bagels and eat lots of sports beans, but grapes sound like the perfect running fuel.

Re: Pikes Peak Marathon Race Report

Congrats!
